Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy challenged BRS working president KTR on Tuesday to prove his mettle by winning at least one Lok Sabha seat in upcoming General Elections. “I didn’t become CM of Telangana through nepotism. In BRS rule, Congress party leaders and supporters faced illegal cases and suffered in jail.
At last in 2023 Assembly Elections People of state wished for change in power and elected us. In these elections people gave a fitting reply to you, your father KCR and your party. Congress came into power because of the hard work and determination of party workers” he said. The CM challenged KTR while responding to KTR’s recent comments, where he asserted that the Congress party wouldn’t have come to power or win at least 30 seats If Revanth Reddy had been named as CM candidate before elections.
Revanth made these remarks while speaking in Jana Jathara public meeting held at Chevella. He launched two of the six guarantees Congress promised in election campaign. The CM launched the free electricity up to 200 units and gas cylinders for ₹500 to white ration card holders.
Government Initially planned to launch these schemes in Chevelle meeting, but the government changed the venue to secretariat as the code of conduct is in force at Chevella due to the by-election at the Mahbubnagar constituency.
