BRS Working President KTR warned Congress Minister Konda Surekha for making false allegations against him regarding the phone tapping case. The former IT minister said that he will send legal notices to the Congress leaders who made baseless allegations against him.
KTR shared a post on Platform X about the comments of Congress leaders accusing him of being the mastermind behind the phone tapping case. Minister Konda Surekha, Congress MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy, and party leader KK Mahender Reddy said that police taped the calls only on the orders of KTR. However, KTR denied these allegations and lashed out at the leaders on the platform ‘X’.
He warned that the leaders making baseless and false accusations against him should apologize immediately; otherwise, the two leaders, along with the minister, would have to face legal notices and defamation suits. While writing on the X, KTR said, “I will drag the congress leaders, who have accused me of phone tapping, to the court. I will face those false accusations legally.”
Meanwhile, since Congress came to power, the investigation into the phone tapping case has been accelerated. As part of the investigation into this case, SIB DSP Praneet Rao and two other top police officers, Bhujangarao and Thirupatanna, have already been arrested, and former officer Radhakishan Rao was also detained by the police.
Former intelligence chief T. Prabhakar Rao is also mentioned as A1 (accused no. 1) in this case. It was confirmed during the investigation that Praneeth Rao destroyed the hard disks, which contain the data of phone tapping, on the orders of Prabhakar Rao. Currently, the police have recovered those hard disks and are trying to retrieve the information. But Prabhakar Rao, who came to know that a case had been registered against him, left for America.
