BRS leader and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao expressed his anger that the state government has failed in the management of water and electricity. Due to the inefficiency of the government, drought conditions arose in the state, and lakhs of acres of crops have dried up.
The negligence of the government is making the conditions worsening. Day-by-day. Harish Rao, who visited the Siddipet Collector’s office on Tuesday, handed over a petition to the Collector asking him to support the farmers and implement the guarantees of Rs. 500 bonus for grain, farmer assurance, farmer loan waiver, etc.
While speaking to the media, Harish Rao alleged that the government is taking corrective measures only after KCR took the Polambata program and started visiting agriculture lands. He also said that the government released water from the Gayatri pump house to the flood canal when KCR was going to visit on Monday. they released water into the Sagar’s left canal when KCR was routed there.
And now, when they came to know that KCR was coming to Karimnagar, they released SSRSP water into the canal.” Harish also stated that this is not a drought, but a drought brought on by the incompetence of the government.
We will besiege Mallanna Sagar:
Meanwhile, Harish Rao questioned why they are not giving water to the farmers. Why is water not being released to Mallanna Sagar? He expressed his concern that, even though 10,000 acres have dried up in the Kudavelli stream, there is no one to respond.
Harish Rao have issued a warning to the government that they will besiege Mallanna Sagar with thousands of farmers if the water is not released to Kudavelli Brook within 24 hours, and if necessary, they will lift the gates of Mallanna Sagar and release the water.
Later, Harish Rao fumingly said that the Congress leaders have no right to criticize the BRS party. he also said that none of the promises made by the Congress party to the farmers have been fulfilled so far. He challenged that he is ready to debate on this matter if any Congress leader is ready to.
Harish Rao demanded that 24-hour quality electricity be provided to the farmers and compensation of Rs. 25 thousand per acre be provided to the farmers who lost their crops.
BRS party demands to the government:
- Water should be released to the ponds under the canals immediately. Also if water is provided for 2-3 taps it will be useful for the farmers.
- Quality electricity should be given to agriculture. Three phase should be better.
- An enumeration of the dry crops should be done and compensation should be given to the farmers at the rate of Rs.25 thousand per acre.
- In the state, there are indications that the yield of this Yasangi will decrease due to water problem.
- As per the assurance, all the farmers should be given a bonus of Rs.500 per quintal.
- Purchase centers should be set up extensively and every seed from the farmers should be purchased.
- According to the assurance, farmers should be given loan waiver of Rs. 2 lakh immediately.
- Rythu Bandhu should be implemented immediately.
- Rs.15 thousand per acre should be given to all farmers under Rythu Bharosa.
- Farmers whose crops have been damaged by hailstorms should be given immediate compensation and support.
