Lok Sabha Polls 2024
The Election Commission is going to announce the Lok Sabha Polls 2024 schedule tomorrow. EC announced this on platform X and wrote that a press conference will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. to announce the schedule of this term’s Lok Sabha elections along with some state assembly polls.
The 2019–24 Loksabha term will be completed on June 16. So, the new house with a new term has to be constituted before that. Due to that, conducting elections to elect new candidates before the due date is mandatory.
Nonetheless, the previous term Lok Sabha elections were conducted on April 11, and the counting process was completed on May 23. The announcement for those polls was done a month ago, on March 10.
