The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warns that this summer may start much hotter than usual. Especially IMD points towards Hyderabad and forecasts that this March may start in a warmer way.
As several districts in the Telangana state experienced much-relieved rainfall over the weekend, Hyderabad remained dry except for some cloudy weather.
Moreover, the fluctuating temperatures left the residents to endure uncomfortable humidity and heat, mostly during the night.
Despite the cloudy weather making a brief appearance in Hyderabad, the city saw no precipitation and missed out on the relief brought by rainfall in other parts of Telangana.
However, in spite of the changes in the weather pattern, the maximum temperatures dropped below the seasonal average, providing some relief to the residents from the usual heat.
On Monday, the average maximum temperature in Hyderabad settled at 32.8 degrees Celsius.
Nonetheless, the normal temperature in the city should be 34.2 degrees Celsius.
Subsequently, on Sunday, the temperature stood at 33.3 degrees Celsius, which is also a low temperature compared to normal.
Although the temperature during the day dropped, the nights, recording the normal temperature at 20.9 degrees Celsius, which is more than the normal minimum temperature, proved to be uncomfortable as it was crossing the normal range
As the temperatures are expected to remain above normal, the IMD forecasts a warmer start to March for the state.
According to IMD, in the first week of March, the average maximum temperature in Hyderabad is predicted to rise to nearly 35 degrees Celsius.
It indicates that the beginning of this summer is going to be hotter than usual for Hyderabadis.
