As the Lok Sabha election campaign is going on in the country, all the parties are holding poll campaigns at a fast pace, as per the Election Commission. While this term’s parliamentary elections are going to be conducted in 7 phases, the first phase of polling will be held on Friday. In this phase, polling for a total of 102 Lok Sabha seats, including 17 states and 4 union territories, will be conducted. The election campaign in the respective states and union territories ended this evening.
Along with the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Tripura and West Bengal, the polls will be held for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Puducherry on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the elections for all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu will be held in the first phase.
