Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge indicated in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he would be open to meeting with the Prime Minister to talk about the Congress’ Nyay Patra program, which aims to give financial aid to the underprivileged. Congressman Jairam Ramesh posted the letter on social media after the Prime Minister attacked the party’s manifesto.
Kharge said that the Prime Minister’s recent remarks and language do not surprise him, and he blames this on the BJP’s dismal showing in the first round of voting. Kharge asserts that the current administration does not share the Congress’s concern for the rights of the impoverished.

He charged that the government was lowering taxes on companies while raising them on paid persons and that the wealthy were able to get GST refunds while the underprivileged had to pay GST on necessities like salt and food.
The Congress platform is for all Indians, regardless of their religious beliefs, according to Kharge, who also chastised the Prime Minister for linking talks of inequality with conflicts between religions. He alluded to the Prime Minister’s pre-independence ties with the Muslim League and colonial overlords, suggesting that such allegiances might have an impact on the actions of the current administration.
