Pattudala Movie Review: There is a craze for Thala Ajith’s films. His choice of stories is different. He has a different school of thought in making action genre films. Ajith does car racing scenes on his own without dupes. He has already done many stylish action films in the style of Hollywood and achieved success. Ajith’s films have become known for being different in action films. His latest action film is ‘Vida Muerchi’. It was released in Telugu as ‘Pattudala’. Trisha is the heroine. Action King Arjun and Regina play the lead roles. Directed by Magil Thirumeni, it is produced by Lyca Productions. This film, which was supposed to be released for Sankranthi, was postponed and came to the audience this Thursday. Did Ajith, who is a carafe for the mass and action genre, achieve success with ‘Pattudala’? Or let’s see.

Analysis:
After watching the trailer of this movie, I understood that it was an adaptation of the 1997 American crime thriller ‘Break Down’. Even though it is not called a remake, the film was made with minor character changes. Revenge dramas like kidnapping for money, murdering them, transporting them abroad, selling their organs, then going in search of the hero’s relatives, and then saving his family by telling the villains a lesson and bringing them back are nothing new to South Indian cinema. No. But fans and audiences believe that if Ajith has made a film, there must be something interesting in it. That is what was missing in this film.
Ajith Shines In The Action Sequences
Ajith’s heroism is not his range film. This is a film that other heroes should do. He carried out the story he wanted without going into the commercial elements that the South Indian audience is used to. There was no love soul in the story of Ajith and Trisha, who got married with great love. Ajith and Trisha did not show a strong reason why they are breaking up. The audience could not get close to Ajith’s pain when Trisha was missing. Moreover, no matter how much the villains provoked the hero, the fans did not accept the scenes where the hero was crushed in the action scenes.
One can only assume that they wanted to tell the story realistically. The chases, scenes, twists in places like Azerbaijan were interesting. However, when we saw Trisha and Regina’s introduction at the petrol station, Regina giving the route map without even saying hi… the director gave us scope to imagine what was going to happen next. With Arjun’s introduction, it was clear that they were the ones responsible for what was going to happen. The director took time until the interval to tell all this.

Hollywood Style Making
The remake, the Hollywood-level stylish making, was all good. But the director faltered when he was asked to connect with the audience. They took a long time to tell the actual story. The story moves forward only after the interval. From there, the scenes and twists are impressive. The hero told the background of the villains Deepika and Rakshit when asked, and that scene cooled down. From there, all the scenes went smoothly. Ajith did not slow down anywhere in the action sequences. However, the emotions were missing in the film.
Actors’ performance: Ajith did what the director told him in the story. There is nothing to name in terms of acting and action scenes. Ajith’s young age scenes mesmerized. He is very handsome. Trisha, as always, performed beautifully and well. Regina acted well in the character of a young woman suffering from a disorder. It would have been better if that role had been used more strongly. Arjun Sarja did justice to his role. He acted within his range in terms of acting. The rest of the foreigners seemed okay.
As for the technical aspect.. Om Prakash’s cinematography is the main asset of the film. Every scene was shot wonderfully. The Azerbaijan area was shown realistically. The drone shots in the chasing scenes were amazing. The visuals seem to be in Hollywood style. Anirudh’s music is okay. The songs are not very memorable. RR hits well in the action scenes. Technically, the film is of high standards. Lyca’s production values are good.
